In my family, we (when I say "we" I mean my dad) have a tradition/requirement of making deviled eggs. This year my sister and I found a new technique for coloring eggs, and after much begging convinced our dad to let us color them!
First step: boil eggs like normal and cool them in water after cooking them
Step two: Pick your food coloring colors.... (we used both gel and liquid)
Step 3: prepare the colors in glass bowls and cups, before inserting eggs, tap them on the table so the shells are cracked (do not remove them) then put them in the color to soak (we did about 30ish minutes)
Don't be like my sister and get the dye on your fingers!
Step 4: Dip egg in a vinegar/water solution then peal them and enjoy the colors!!
Step 5: have your dad make turn them into Deviled Easter Eggs
Final step: EAT AND ENJOY!
