Christmas photos with Riva and Heath

Since Christmas is closely approaching I've been taking pictures of some great families! This week's family is another couple from my work Heath and Riva. Riva and Heath wanted to get some pics with each other while getting some pics of Heath's kids for Christmas cards for the rest of the family. So... these are some of the best shots that I got!

We started our day with a couple shots of the kids... I love these faces!

This little guy was such a character :)

I can see this little beauty being a heart breaker in a few years!

For those of you who know me... you know my love of animals so when I saw ducks and geese... well they had to be included too!

Happy holidays!!

Fallwell Family Christmas shoot

Since moving down here to Tucson I have been blessed with forming some great new friendships. In doing so they discovered that I enjoy taking photos for the cheap price of food and hanging out :) So a couple weeks ago we met at a local park and here are a few of the best shots I got!

I have the pleasure of working with Megan and Justin and was delighted with the opportunity to capture these pictures of them and their family and newest member!

A little into the shoot the kid's friend showed up and we did a quick "silly" pose ;)

All the boys

Nothing like a picture of father and newborn son

I told the little one to give his dad some heir and this is what we got! haha

BABY FEET!!!

One flaw about the majority of the boys in this family is they are U of A fans... but at least I have an ally in Megan and the baby!

Quick Update

So I know I have not been on in a while.... (I think I put that same exact sentence every time)

This is because we packed up CJ (read last post about Colby Jack) and the rest of our things and moved into our new house! (pictures coming soon!!!)

So anyway quick update:
We are almost done moving in and have installed and bought a few things as first time home buyers (pictures also coming soon)
1: washer and dryer (both heavy and pricy but needed!)
2: blinds ... it was living in a house with a bunch of window and feeling like we were on display to the whole world. (these were installed professionally ... I don't want to think of how that would look if we did it ourselves!)
3: couch sectional (we love it, it's huge and fluffy and I will post pics when everything in the living room is put it its place)
4: curtains: Collin did a great job installing the rods and in this we found that CJ is obsessed and becomes quite vocal about he laser level (I'll have to try to get a video of him because it is really funny!)
5: Fans: So yesterday Collin decided we needed a few fans. Our house is prewired but had none and we were going to live with it but our bedroom gets kinda hot being on the second floor and the living room can also get warm being connected to the kitchen. We have many more rooms in need of fans but this is a good start!

So as a fun ending to a quick update, we went to the local pumpkin patch and carved our pumpkins on Halloween so here are the pics of our masterpieces!

Mine: in honor our CJ

Collin's... because he is a boy haha

We adopted a Kitten!

Hey all, so some of you who know me personally know that I just graduated with my masters and moved down to a new city with my husband. In conjunction with that it turned out that our schedules became opposite: ie I wake up for work when he comes home from work and I get home from work when he is leaving to go to work.
With this in mind, my husband was also trying to figure out a graduation gift for me. Right around this time a friend of his mother's who helps an organization called "Friend's for Life" started fostering a group of abandoned farel kittens. After we played with them for a couple weekends, my hubby and I discussed getting one and bringing it to our new apartment to keep either of us company with the other was at work.

So about two weeks ago we adopted Colby Jack (CJ for short) and got him fixed last week. He is an interesting kitty and I am on a learning curve now (from previous posts you can see most of my animal interactions are with dogs) as I learn his temperments. Right now his days consist of running around like a crazy kitten when he is awake and crashing just about any where when he is tired (laundry included). So here are a few pics of his first few weeks with us and there are sure more to come!

There is still some training involved.... lesson one: don't eat my books...

 MMMM Tails taste good :)

Here is where I show you all how he seems to fall asleep anywhere.. laundry included...

And right after ironing my cloths for work... yep he claimed them before I could hang them up!

Continuation of places to nap:

In front of the fire place

On the table cloth my grandmother made us....

Tucked in a blanket after playing

Claiming said blanket and making it into a nest with his favorite squirrel (that he stole from me too)...

After an invigorating game of tennis:

With his daddy in the middle of playing chase the laser pointer (as you can see his dad fell asleep too)

In the middle of a photo shoot:

But when he is awake, he is supper fun to watch and play with!

 And Have I mentioned photogenic?

And to finish, here he is in his newest toy: his cat tree (we got kind of tired of him climbing all over the couches)
